Bahareh Asady

(she/her)

Education: MSW, RSW

Background: Bahareh has over five years of experience working with diverse populations through crisis lines, community mental health, and private practice. She is passionate about helping people build an authentic and meaningful life while honoring their unique cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.

Specialty: Bahareh supports folks navigating depression, emotion regulation, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, shame, low self-esteem, caregiver burnout, and cultural identity. She understands the impact of cultural expectations and intergenerational dynamics on mental health and works collaboratively to explore these challenges with sensitivity and respect.

Approach: Bahareh uses evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness, to tailor sessions to your unique needs. Her practice is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and rooted in cultural humility—recognizing that healing is shaped by personal and collective histories. Whether you’re healing from past traumas, managing anxiety, or navigating cultural identity struggles, she provides a safe, nonjudgmental space where all aspects of your identity are valued and honored.

Perspective: Bahareh views therapy as a journey of self-awareness centered on connection, trust, curiosity, and compassion. She believes that you are the expert in your own life, and her role is to support you in exploring your unique story while acknowledging the role of culture, systemic influences, and personal values. Therapy is a space where you can bring your whole self—your joys, struggles, and uncertainties—without fear of judgment. Through a lens of cultural awareness and humility, Bahareh works alongside you to foster self-compassion, resilience, and meaningful change.
